Bremerton PD Investigation Leads to Seizure of Meth, Heroin; Two Arrested

An investigation started by Bremerton Police Department patrol officers led to a major drug bust in Seattle, according to a press release.

Detectives from the Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested two people and seized cash, methamphetamine, heroin and a vehicle, the May 4 release states.

After receiving information on drug activity in Bremerton, detectives reportedly observed a transaction in the Seattle area. Detectives seized more than 80 grams of heroin, over 27 grams of meth, and $2,056 in cash, the release states.

The vehicle used in the transaction was seized under Washington State seizure laws. The two individuals involved, a man and a woman from Snohomish County, were reportedly arrested and referred to the King County Prosecutor’s Office for charges including felony delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

“This is a great example of our patrol officers and undercover detectives working as a team to identify, follow up and do what it takes to get these dangerous drugs off the street,” Bremerton Police Chief Steve Strachan said in the release.
