Homelessness in North Kitsap to be Discussed at March Meeting

Homelessness is the subject of a public meeting in Kingston next month.

More from a Kitsap County press release:

The Kingston Citizens Advisory Council is hosting a public presentation featuring an overview of homelessness in Kingston, North Kitsap and Kitsap County as a whole, at its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 in North Kitsap Fire and Rescue’s Paul T. Nichol Headquarters Fire Station, 26642 Miller Bay Road, Kingston.

Kirsten Jewell, Housing and Homelessness Program Coordinator of the Kitsap County Department of Human Services, will provide recent data collected last month during the Point in Time Count and survey of those living without homes. She will highlight some of the existing programs that provide resources, and discuss the Homeless Housing Plan, current implementation efforts and information on how citizens can get involved. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

KCAC meets the first Wednesday of each month (except January and July) and features guest speakers to address topics of interest and concern to the community. Program suggestions are welcome. Contact Heather Adams or KCAC Chair Dennis Hedlund
