Central Kitsap Firefighter’s EMT License Suspended Following Charges of Attempted Child Rape
A Kitsap County EMT’s license was suspended this week after he was charged with attempted child rape.
Kevin D. Best, a Central Kitsap firefighter, was charged in Snohomish County with first-degree attempted rape of a child and commercial abuse of a minor, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Health.
The Washington State Secretary of Health, Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems program suspended Best’s emergency medical technician license pending further proceedings.
The charges state that Best arranged to meet a woman with the purpose of having sex with her minor daughter, according to the release.
The woman was reportedly a Washington State Patrol detective posing online as a mother offering sex with her children for money.
Best has 20 days to ask for a hearing to contest the charges, according to the release.
