Port Orchard man airlifted to Harborview after car accident near Kingston

A 29-year-old Port Orchard man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after getting in a car accident near Kingston on Sunday morning.

Joshuah Lee Carr, 29, of Port Orchard, was driving a white 1999 Isuzu Sweeper Truck westbound on state Route 104 around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a Washington State Patrol report. Meanwhile, another driver was stopped in a gray 2003 BMW X5 while heading westbound at the traffic light at the intersection of westbound state route 104 and Miller Bay Road NE, the report states.

Carr reportedly failed to stop, and rear-ended the X5. The driver of the X5 was injured and transported to Harrison Hospital.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, and Carr is under investigation for possible charges, the report states. The report says drugs or alcohol were not involved in the accident.
