Detectives Arrest Three for Alleged Kitsap Robbery Spree
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested two men and one women this morning after they allegedly went on an armed robbery spree in south Kitsap and Pierce counties over the past two days.
Detectives arrested a 48-year-old South Kitsap man; a 35-year-old South Kitsap man; and a 28-year-old Pierce County woman after following up on information gleaned from witnesses, the sheriff’s office stated in a news release.
Kitsap deputies responded to two armed robberies on Thursday: one around 10 p.m. at the Burley Store on Bethel-Burley Road, and one around 9 p.m. at the Hi-Way Market on Bethel Road in south Kitsap County.
Surveillance footage appeared to show the same person robbing both stores, the release states. The suspect appeared to be a white man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a “unique” logo on the front, black jeans, black-and-white shoes, and a black mask pulled down over his face.
In both robberies, the suspect allegedly entered the store and pointed a silver handgun at employees.
Detectives released video footage of the incident on Facebook and Twitter:

The robbers struck again: Around 9:45 p.m. on Friday, sheriff’s deputies and a Washington State Patrol trooper responded to another robbery at the Burley store.
This time, a witness was able to provide detectives with the license plate number of the getaway car, as well as the direction the car was headed: Toward Highway 302, into Pierce County.
At around 10 p.m., Pierce County authorities reported that the Harvest Time Market on Highway 302 was robbed, and that they suspected the incident was connected to the Burley robbery.
After investigating information provided by witnesses, detectives determined the suspect’s vehicle was at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino. Detectives and deputies, assisted by Suquamish police, located and arrested two of the suspects as they returned to their vehicle.
The third suspect was taken into custody without incident inside the casino.
All three suspects were booked into Kitsap County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery. Bail was set at $1 million for the 48-year-old; the other two suspects were booked on $100,000. All three suspects are expected to make initiall court appearances in Kitsap County Superior Court on Monday.
