Suspect in Bremerton Homicide Arrested; Victim Identified
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s office has arrested the suspect in an apparent stabbing homicide at Camelot Mobile Home Park in East Bremerton, and has identified the victim.
The victim of the homicide has been identified by the Kitsap County Coroner’s Office as Travis Lee Fish, 27, of East Bremerton, according to a press release.
Sheriff’s detectives and deputies arrested Dustin Robert Cupp, 31, without incident a little after 10 p.m. yesterday at a central Kitsap residence. Details involving the hunt for Cupp and and how they found his location were not immediately available, according to a press release.
Cupp was booked into Kitsap County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder. Bail was set at $1 million.
The county’s forensic pathologist will conduct an autopsy of the victim on Monday, and the coroner will make a determination as to the cause and manner of death.
Cupp is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Kitsap County District Court at 3 p.m. Monday.
Sheriff’s deputies first responded to a residence in the mobile home park around 4:30 p.m. yesterday after someone called 911 to report a man had collapsed after being stabbed during a confrontation, the release states.
The man, later identified as Fish, was pronounced dead at 4:44 p.m.
A K-9 team was unable to locate the suspect, but the sheriff’s office later sent out a press release asking for the public’s help in locating Cupp.
