Two Charged With Homicide for Allegedly Giving Heroin to Woman Who Overdosed
A man and woman were charged today with homicide after allegedly supplying a local woman with heroin that led to her fatally overdosing.
The Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office charged Nicole Browitt and Christopher “Cupcake” Fletcher with controlled substance homicide, according to a press release from the city of Bremerton.
The victim, a 31-year-old woman, reportedly overdosed on heroin last Sunday. The release states that the woman used a “very small amount,” but also notes it was her first time using heroin.
The woman died Thursday evening after she was taken off life support, the release states.

Special Operations Group detectives arrested Fletcher on Monday for delivery of a controlled substance, heroin. He was booked into jail on the delivery charge, with bail set at $10,000. Fletcher was also charged today with controlled substance homicide, and an additional $250,000 bail was added.
Special Operations Group detectives and Bremerton Police Department officers took Browitt into custody today for her alleged involvement in the victim’s death, according to the release. She was booked into the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office jail on a charge of controlled substance homicide, with bail set at $250,000.
