Gov. Jay Inslee appointed Jeffrey Bassett to the Kitsap County Superior Court on Tuesday.
Bassett is replacing retiring Judge Jay Roof, who served since 1994, according to a press release from the governor’s office.
Bassett has had a solo practice — primarily focused on family law — in Bremerton since 2010. He previously served as the senior counsel at Palace Law Offices, the release states.
